| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Subtitle C, Title 4, Special District Local Laws |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Code, is amended by adding Chapter 3991 to read as follows: |

| 14 | 14 | | CHAPTER 3991. CONROE MUNICIPAL MANAGEMENT DISTRICT NO. 2 |

| 15 | 15 | | SUBCHAPTER A. GENERAL PROVISIONS |

| 16 | 16 | | Sec. 3991.0101. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter: |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | (1) "Board" means the district's board of directors. |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | (2) "Commission" means the Texas Commission on |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Environmental Quality. |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (3) "Director" means a board member. |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | (4) "District" means the Conroe Municipal Management |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | District No. 2 created by an order of the commission on August 14, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | 2019. |

| 24 | 24 | | SUBCHAPTER B. BOARD OF DIRECTORS |

| 25 | 25 | | Sec. 3991.0201. COMPENSATION; EXPENSES. (a) The district |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | may compensate each director as provided by Section 49.060, Water |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Code. |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | (b) A director is entitled to reimbursement for necessary |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | and reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out the duties and |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | responsibilities of the board. |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
