| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 29.9072, Education Code, is amended by | |
| 12 | 12 | adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (d) Not later than 60 days before the first day of Holocaust | |
| 14 | 14 | Remembrance Week, the agency shall provide notice to each school | |
| 15 | 15 | district about Holocaust Remembrance Week. The notice must include | |
| 16 | 16 | information regarding the availability of instructional resources | |
| 17 | 17 | provided by the Texas Holocaust, Genocide, and Antisemitism | |
| 18 | 18 | Advisory Commission. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act applies beginning with the 2025-2026 | |
| 20 | 20 | school year. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 22 | 22 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 23 | 23 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 24 | 24 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 25 | 25 | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
