| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter G, Chapter 38, Section 38.353., of the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Education Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Each student identification card issued by a public school to |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | a student in grade six or higher: |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (1) must have printed on the card the contact information |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | for: |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | (A) the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | (B) the National Domestic Violence Hotline; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (C) the National Sexual Assault Hotline; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | [B](D) the Crisis Text Line; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | (2) may have printed on the card the contact information for |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | a local suicide prevention hotline, if available. |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | SECTION 2. Section 38.353, Education Code, as amended by |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | this Act, applies only to a student identification card issued on or |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | after the effective date of this Act. |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
