| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 253, Election Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended by adding Section 253.008 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 253.008. PROHIBITION ON RECEIPT OF BOND PROCEEDS BY | |
| 15 | 15 | PERSONS WHO CONTRIBUTE TO CERTAIN POLITICAL COMMITTEES. | |
| 16 | 16 | Notwithstanding any law, a person who makes a contribution to a | |
| 17 | 17 | political committee that supports the issuance of a bond may not | |
| 18 | 18 | receive money, including payment under a contract for goods or | |
| 19 | 19 | services, from any proceeds in connection with the bond. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. Section 253.008, Election Code, as added by this | |
| 21 | 21 | Act, applies only to a contribution to a political committee that is | |
| 22 | 22 | made on or after the effective date of this Act. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
