| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 659.012, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 13 | 13 | adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (a-1) In addition to the annual base salary from the state | |
| 15 | 15 | prescribed by Subsection (a), a judge of a division of the business | |
| 16 | 16 | court is entitled to an annual salary supplement from the state in | |
| 17 | 17 | an amount equal to the difference between the judge's annual base | |
| 18 | 18 | salary from the state and the maximum combined base salary from all | |
| 19 | 19 | state and county sources paid to a district judge under Subsection | |
| 20 | 20 | (a). | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
