| 15 | 15 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 16 | 16 | | SECTION 1. Section 37.105, Education Code, is amended by |

| 17 | 17 | | adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: |

| 18 | 18 | | (a-1) A verbal warning and persisting in inappropriate |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | behavior are not required under Subsections (a)(2)(A) and (B) for a |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | person serving as a referee, judge, or other official of an |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | extracurricular athletic activity or competition sponsored or |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | sanctioned by the school district or the University Interscholastic |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | League to eject a spectator from the extracurricular athletic |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | activity or competition. |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | SECTION 2. This Act applies beginning with the 2025-2026 |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | school year. |

| 27 | 27 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
