| 12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Section 48.104(e-1), Education Code, is amended | |
| 14 | 14 | to read as follows: | |
| 15 | 15 | (e-1) For each student who is a homeless child or youth as | |
| 16 | 16 | defined by 42 U.S.C. Section 11434a or in the conservatorship of the | |
| 17 | 17 | Department of Family and Protective Services, a school district is | |
| 18 | 18 | entitled to an annual allotment equal to the basic allotment | |
| 19 | 19 | multiplied by 2.41 [the highest weight provided under Subsection | |
| 20 | 20 | (d)]. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
