| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 775.0235, Health and Safety Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (a-1) The board shall remove territory from a district as | |
| 15 | 15 | provided by this section on request of a municipality if: | |
| 16 | 16 | (1) the territory is included in the corporate limits | |
| 17 | 17 | of the municipality; | |
| 18 | 18 | (2) the municipality has a population of more than | |
| 19 | 19 | 10,000 but less than 19,000; and | |
| 20 | 20 | (3) the territory is located in a county with a | |
| 21 | 21 | population of more than 1 million and less than 1.5 million. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
