11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, is | |
13 | 13 | amended by adding Section 662.0815 to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | Sec. 662.0815. HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE CARE DAY. (a) The | |
15 | 15 | second Saturday in October is Hospice and Palliative Care Day to | |
16 | 16 | bring awareness to the role of hospice and palliative care in | |
17 | 17 | optimizing the quality of life for seriously ill patients and their | |
18 | 18 | families. | |
19 | 19 | (b) Hospice and Palliative Care Day may be regularly | |
20 | 20 | observed by appropriate ceremonies and activities. | |
21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
