11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Section 481.102, Health and Safety Code, is |

178 | 178 | | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
---|
179 | 179 | | to an offense committed on or after the effective date of this Act. |
---|
180 | 180 | | An offense committed before the effective date of this Act is |

181 | 181 | | governed by the law in effect on the date the offense was committed, |
---|
182 | 182 | | and the former law is continued in effect for that purpose. For |
---|
183 | 183 | | purposes of this section, an offense was committed before the |
---|
184 | 184 | | effective date of this Act if any element of the offense occurred |
---|
185 | 185 | | before that date. |

186 | 186 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
