The bill would create a Class A misdemeanor offense for knowingly affixing a notary seal or counterfeit seal to a document or instrument presumed to be fraudulent and then filing, recording, or attempting to file or record the document or instrument with certain clerks.It is assumed that any impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources would not be significant.  Local Government ImpactIt is assumed that any fiscal impact to units of local government associated with enforcement, prosecution, supervision, or confinement would not be significant.
