| 12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 411, Government Code, is | |
| 14 | 14 | amended by adding Section 411.0831 to read as follows: | |
| 15 | 15 | Sec. 411.0831. NOTICE REGARDING DISSEMINATION TO CONSUMER | |
| 16 | 16 | REPORTING AGENCY. The department shall publish on its Internet | |
| 17 | 17 | website, for each dissemination of criminal history record | |
| 18 | 18 | information to a consumer reporting agency, as defined by Section | |
| 19 | 19 | 20.01, Business & Commerce Code: | |
| 20 | 20 | (1) the name of the agency; | |
| 21 | 21 | (2) the agency's telephone number, mailing address, | |
| 22 | 22 | and, if available, e-mail address; and | |
| 23 | 23 | (3) the date of the dissemination. | |
| 24 | 24 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
