11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 1302.201, Occupations Code, is amended | |
13 | 13 | to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | Sec. 1302.201. ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERSHIP. The air | |
15 | 15 | conditioning and refrigeration contractors advisory board consists | |
16 | 16 | of nine members appointed by the presiding officer of the | |
17 | 17 | commission[,] with the commission's approval[, and two ex officio | |
18 | 18 | nonvoting members]. One member of the advisory board must be a | |
19 | 19 | public member. | |
20 | 20 | SECTION 2. Section 1302.205(a), Occupations Code, is | |
21 | 21 | amended to read as follows: | |
22 | 22 | (a) Appointed advisory board members serve staggered | |
23 | 23 | six-year terms. The terms of three [two] appointed members expire | |
24 | 24 | on February 1 of each odd-numbered year. | |
25 | 25 | SECTION 3. Section 1302.203, Occupations Code, is repealed. | |
26 | 26 | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
