12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Section 162.304, Family Code, is amended by | |
14 | 14 | adding Subsection (k) to read as follows: | |
15 | 15 | (k) The department shall annually review the process the | |
16 | 16 | department uses to enter into adoption assistance agreements under | |
17 | 17 | this section. As part of its review, the department shall consider: | |
18 | 18 | (1) the amount of money the department has available | |
19 | 19 | for adoption assistance agreements; | |
20 | 20 | (2) the maximum amount the department is authorized to | |
21 | 21 | pay as a subsidy under this section and the factors the department | |
22 | 22 | considers in determining that amount; and | |
23 | 23 | (3) the factors the department considers in | |
24 | 24 | determining a child's eligibility for a subsidy under this section. | |
25 | 25 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
