| 11 | 14 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 15 | | SECTION 1. Section 6.412(c), Tax Code, is amended to read as |

| 14 | 17 | | (c) Except as otherwise provided by this subsection, a [A] |

| 15 | 18 | | person is ineligible to serve on the appraisal review board if the |
|---|
| 16 | 19 | | person is a member of the board of directors, [an] officer, or |
|---|
| 17 | 20 | | employee of the appraisal district, an employee of the comptroller, |
|---|
| 18 | 21 | | or a member of the governing body, officer, or employee of a taxing |
|---|
| 19 | 22 | | unit. A person employed by a school district as a teacher may serve |
|---|
| 20 | 23 | | on the appraisal review board. |

| 21 | 24 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
