12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Chapter 318, Government Code, is amended by | |
14 | 14 | adding Section 318.004 to read as follows: | |
15 | 15 | Sec. 318.004. STATEMENT REGARDING REVIEW OF LEGISLATION | |
16 | 16 | REGULATING AN OCCUPATION. (a) A bill that would create an | |
17 | 17 | occupational license or expand an existing occupational license | |
18 | 18 | must include the following attached to the bill: | |
19 | 19 | (1) a statement, prepared by the Legislative Budget | |
20 | 20 | Board, indicating whether a member of the legislature has requested | |
21 | 21 | a review of the proposed legislation under Section 325.023; and | |
22 | 22 | (2) if applicable, any report regarding the | |
23 | 23 | legislation prepared under that section. | |
24 | 24 | (b) An item required by Subsection (a) must be printed as | |
25 | 25 | part of the committee report for the bill and of all subsequent | |
26 | 26 | printings and remain with the bill throughout the legislative | |
27 | 27 | process, including submission to the governor. | |
28 | 28 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
