It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.  Local Government ImpactSchools may have additional students meet the definition of "students at risk of dropping out of school" under the bill's expanded definition.  The bill would require schools to use existing attendance data to track if a student is chronically absent, flag such students, and report to TEA.
