77 A JOINT RESOLUTION
88 proposing a constitutional amendment authorizing the legislature
99 to exempt from ad valorem taxation tangible personal property
1010 consisting of animal feed held by the owner of the property for sale
1111 at retail.
1212 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1313 SECTION 1. Article VIII, Texas Constitution, is amended by
1414 adding Section 1-s to read as follows:
1515 Sec. 1-s. (a) The legislature by general law may exempt
1616 from ad valorem taxation tangible personal property consisting of
1717 animal feed held by the owner of the property for sale at retail.
1818 (b) The legislature by general law may provide additional
1919 eligibility requirements for the exemption authorized by this
2020 section.
2121 SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be
2222 submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 4, 2025.
2323 The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the
2424 proposition: "The constitutional amendment authorizing the
2525 legislature to exempt from ad valorem taxation tangible personal
2626 property consisting of animal feed held by the owner of the property
2727 for sale at retail."
