2	8		WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Affiliation of Affordable
3	9		Housing Providers are gathering at the State Capitol on
4	10		February 19, 2025; and
5	11		WHEREAS, Founded in 1997, TAAHP is a leading advocate and
6	12		resource for the affordable housing industry in Texas; the
7	13		organization represents industry professionals involved in the
8	14		financing, development, and management of affordable housing
9		-	communities in the state, with the goal of increasing the supply
10		-	~~and~~ quality of affordable housing for those with limited incomes
11		-	~~and~~ special needs; and
	15	+	communities in the state, with the goal of increasing the supply and
	16	+	quality of affordable housing for those with limited incomes and
	17	+	special needs; and
12	18		WHEREAS, TAAHP is made up of a wide range of industry
13	19		professionals, including attorneys, accountants, developers,
14	20		investors, property management companies, housing finance
15	21		corporations, government entities, and other housing advocates;
16	22		each year, its membership produces thousands of award-winning
17	23		affordable housing communities with state-of-the-art designs,
18	24		amenities, and resident services; and
19	25		WHEREAS, TAAHP, the Texas Association of Local Housing
20		-	Finance Agencies, and the Rural Rental Housing Association of
21		-	Texas have partnered to provide one voice for affordable housing
22		-	as they visit the Capitol; and
23		-	WHEREAS, Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to ending
24		-	the affordable housing crisis in Texas, TAAHP continues to play
25		-	an important role in bettering the quality of life for many
26		-	citizens of the Lone Star State, and the organization's members
27		-	may indeed reflect with pride on their achievements; now,
28		-	therefore, be it
29		-	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
30		-	Legislature, hereby recognize February 19, 2025, as Texas
31		-	Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers Day at the State
32		-	Capitol and extend a warm welcome to the visiting delegation;
33		-	and, be it further
