2	8		WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	9		recognize the Bob Bullock Scholars Program of Baylor University
4	10		and the scholars who are participating in the program during the
5	11		89th Texas Legislature in 2025; and
6	12		WHEREAS, Established in 2000 to honor the memory of
7		-	Lieutenant Governor Bob Bullock, the Scholars Program promotes the
8		-	practical study of politics by Baylor University students; and

9	16		WHEREAS, Each student selected for participation in the
10	17		program works full time for a member of the Texas Legislature

13		-	Texas government; the Bob Bullock Scholars Program is an
14		-	outstanding opportunity for those who seek to experience the
15		-	process of policymaking and prepare for a career in public
16		-	service; and

17	23		WHEREAS, Dr. Patrick Flavin serves as director of the Bob
18		-	Bullock Scholars Program, and the ~~six~~ exemplary scholars ~~working~~
19		-	with legislators during the 89th Texas Legislature are: ~~Molly~~
20		-	Brown with Representative Jeff Leach, Annabel Curtis with

	25	+	working with legislators during the 89th Texas Legislature are:
	26	+	Molly Brown with Representative Jeff Leach, Annabel Curtis with
21	27		Representative John Bucy, Hayden Head with Senator Brent
22	28		Hagenbuch, Madelyn Miller with Representative Lacey Hull, Rhea
23	29		Nijjar with Dean Senator Judith Zaffirini, and Sophia Whetstone
24	30		with Senator Royce West; now, therefore, be it
25	31		RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
26	32		Legislature, hereby pay tribute to Baylor University's Bob
27	33		Bullock Scholars Program and commend this year's scholars on
28		-	their participation in the state's legislative process; and,
29		-	be it further

30	36		RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
31	37		the participants of the program as an expression of esteem from
32	38		the Texas Senate.
