 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Representatives of the City of Allen, the Allen
 Fairview Chamber of Commerce, and the Allen Independent School
 District are gathering in Austin on February 26-27, 2025, to
 celebrate Allen Days at the State Capitol; and
 WHEREAS, Located in southwestern Collin County, Allen was
 officially established in 1870 and today is a vibrant and diverse
 community with a population of more than 100,000 people; the city
 and its residents currently benefit from the outstanding leadership
 of Mayor Baine Brooks, the six members of the city council, Mayor
 Pro Tem Ben Trahan, Michael Schaeffer, Tommy Baril, Ken Cook, Chris
 Schulmeister, and Carl Clemencich, and the members of the city
 manager's office, city manager Eric Ellwanger, deputy city manager
 Eric Strong, and assistant city managers Rebecca Vice and Tim
 Dentler; and
 WHEREAS, Contributing greatly to the city's success is the
 Allen Fairview Chamber of Commerce, which is committed to
 supporting economic growth through advocacy, education, and
 collaboration; the association is guided by CEO Kyle Jacobson,
 membership director Saundra Midkiff, finance director Karen
 Simpson, programming and marketing director Tracy Walker, and
 engagement and retention director Emily Strickland; and
 WHEREAS, The Allen community is further served by the
 award-winning Allen Independent School District, which is tasked
 with preparing more than 21,000 young Texans for the challenges and
 opportunities that lie ahead; Allen ISD is ably led by
 superintendent Dr. Robin Bullock and a dedicated board of trustees;
 and
 WHEREAS, Allen has established itself as an outstanding place
 to live and work, and leaders of the City of Allen, the Allen
 Fairview Chamber of Commerce, and the Allen Independent School
 District are helping to build an even brighter and more prosperous
 future for their thriving community; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
 hereby recognize representatives of the City of Allen, the Allen
 Fairview Chamber of Commerce, and the Allen Independent School
 District on the occasion of Allen Days at the State Capitol on
 February 26-27, 2025, and extend a warm welcome to the visiting
 delegation.
