3 | | - | nursing organizations are gathering in Austin on March 4, 2025, |

4 | | - | for Nurse Day at the State Capitol; and |

5 | | - | WHEREAS, Certified nursing assistants, licensed |

6 | | - | vocational nurses, registered nurses, and advanced practice |
---|
7 | | - | registered nurses care for Texans each day in hospitals, nursing |
---|
8 | | - | homes, home health agencies, and other settings; registered |
---|
9 | | - | nurses constitute the largest health care profession in the |
---|
10 | | - | state, and they help to ensure that Texans have access to quality |
---|
11 | | - | health care at all stages of life; and |
---|
12 | | - | WHEREAS, Nurses have bravely served on the front lines |
---|
13 | | - | during the COVID-19 pandemic and protected the health of Texans, |
---|
14 | | - | often putting their own well-being in jeopardy; and |
---|
15 | | - | WHEREAS, Nurses are consistently rated by the Gallup Poll |
---|
16 | | - | each year as the highest-ranked professionals for honesty and |
---|
17 | | - | ethical standards, and across the profession, they share a |
---|
18 | | - | mission for promoting excellence in patient care, both at the |
---|
19 | | - | bedside and in the public arena; and |
---|
20 | | - | WHEREAS, Through their deep commitment to the health and |
---|
21 | | - | well-being of their patients and their advocacy on behalf of |
---|
22 | | - | quality health care, Texas nurses have earned the lasting |
---|
23 | | - | respect, admiration, and appreciation of their fellow citizens; |
