| 8 | + | WHEREAS, John Hudspeth is retiring as Dallas deputy district |

| 9 | + | engineer for the Texas Department of Transportation on February 28, |

| 10 | + | 2025, drawing to a close an exceptional tenure with the agency that |

| 11 | + | has spanned nearly three decades; and |
---|
7 | | - | bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1995, Mr. Hudspeth |

8 | | - | began his career with TxDOT as an engineer in training for the |

9 | | - | Collin County area office; in 2003, he became the design manager |

10 | | - | for the southwest Dallas County area office, and he was |
---|
11 | | - | responsible for various mobility and maintenance projects, |

12 | | - | including the nearly $2.7 billion comprehensive development |

14 | | - | WHEREAS, Mr. Hudspeth then returned to the Collin County |

17 | | - | in 2012, he became the deputy director of the Dallas-Fort Worth |

18 | | - | strategic projects office and went on to be named the Dallas |

19 | | - | district director of operations three years later; in 2020, he |

20 | | - | took on the position of director of transportation planning and |

21 | | - | development for the Dallas district, and among his many tasks, he |
