8+ WHEREAS, Representatives of the Texas Prevention Network are
9+ visiting the State Capitol on March 6, 2025; and
410 WHEREAS, Established by TexProtects in 2012, the Texas
511 Prevention Network serves as a collaboration platform for
612 organizations that strive to prevent child abuse and neglect; the
7- network facilitates peer-to-peer connections and resource
8- sharing, hosts educational sessions, and disseminates updates
9- from state agencies and other groups engaged in this work; and
10- WHEREAS, The Texas Prevention Network is made up of more
11- than 250 direct service providers from across the state; all of
12- the providers and affiliated programs work toward the common goal
13- of supporting families in order to keep them safe, healthy,
14- together, and self-sufficient; and
13+ network facilitates peer-to-peer connections and resource sharing,
14+ hosts educational sessions, and disseminates updates from state
15+ agencies and other groups engaged in this work; and
16+ WHEREAS, The Texas Prevention Network is made up of more than

1622 Prevention Network Day are Hope Cottage, Any Baby Can, Parents as
17- Teachers, Buckner International, Presbyterian Children's Homes
18- and Services, and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas; and
19- WHEREAS, For more than a decade, the Texas Prevention
20- Network has served as an important resource for those working
21- to protect the state's most vulnerable population, and it is
22- indeed deserving of recognition for its contributions to the
23- well-being of countless young Texans and their families; now,
24- therefore, be it
25- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
26- Legislature, hereby recognize March 6, 2025, as Texas Prevention
27- Network Day at the State Capitol and extend a warm welcome to the
28- visiting delegation.
