| 5 | 11 | | of dedicated service to the State of Texas; and |

| 6 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Sasha Rasco serves as associate commissioner for |

| 7 | 13 | | Family Support Services at the Texas Health and Human Services |
|---|
| 8 | 14 | | Commission; since 2013, she has led the growth of this division, |
|---|
| 9 | 15 | | which previously was known as Prevention and Early Intervention |
|---|
| 10 | 16 | | in the Department of Family and Protective Services until |
|---|
| 11 | 17 | | September of 2024; and |
|---|
| 12 | 18 | | WHEREAS, A proud alumni of The University of Texas at |
|---|
| 13 | 19 | | Austin, Sasha earned a degree from the Humanities Honors Program |
|---|
| 14 | 20 | | and began her career in early childhood education before |
|---|
| 15 | 21 | | completing a master's degree at the university's Lyndon B. |
|---|
| 16 | 22 | | Johnson School of Public Affairs; early in her career with the |
|---|
| 17 | 23 | | state, she devoted 14 years to helping manage child care |
|---|
| 18 | 24 | | licensing for more than 36,000 homes, facilities, and agencies |
|---|
| 19 | 25 | | with the Department of Family and Protective Services; and |
|---|
| 20 | 26 | | WHEREAS, In her positions of leadership with Prevention |
|---|
| 21 | 27 | | and Early Intervention and Family Support Services, Sasha's |
|---|
| 22 | 28 | | expertise and dedication have made her an invaluable asset and |
|---|
| 23 | 29 | | have greatly benefited efforts to oversee grants, conduct data |
|---|
| 24 | 30 | | collection, and administer training and technical assistance to |
|---|
| 25 | 31 | | hundreds of organizations in the state that provide family and |
|---|
| 26 | 32 | | community support services; and |
|---|
| 27 | 33 | | WHEREAS, Her unwavering commitment to promoting the safety |
|---|
| 28 | 34 | | and development of young Texans has made a positive and lasting |
|---|
| 29 | 35 | | impact, and her presence and contributions will be greatly missed |
|---|
| 30 | 36 | | by all at the commission; she is highly respected and admired by |
|---|
| 31 | 37 | | her friends and colleagues, and it is indeed fitting that they |
|---|
| 32 | 38 | | join in celebrating her retirement; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 33 | 39 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th |
|---|
| 34 | 40 | | Legislature, hereby commend Sasha Rasco on her exemplary career |

| 35 | 41 | | and service to the Lone Star State and extend to her |
|---|
| 36 | 42 | | congratulations on her retirement and best wishes in all her |
