58 WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Kenda Ruth King of
6- Bullard were deeply saddened by her passing on January 25, 2025,
7- at the age of 60; and
8- WHEREAS, Born in Jacksonville on October 24, 1964, Kenda
9- King was the daughter of Linda and Kenneth King, and she grew up
10- with the companionship of her sister, Kelly; after graduating
11- from Bullard High School, she attended Tyler Junior College and
12- The University of Texas at Tyler; and
13- WHEREAS, Ms. King worked as a licensed vocational nurse
14- for a time before finding her true calling as a cattle truck
15- driver; a lifelong cowgirl, she delighted in working with cattle
16- and traveling the open road; and

21- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
22- Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Kenda Ruth King
23- and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: to
24- her parents, Linda and Kenneth King; to her sister, Kelly King,
25- and her husband, David Faust; to her nephews, Curtis Dean and
26- Alex Dean and his wife, Nikki; to her great-niece, Audrey Claire;
27- and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
22+ for all who knew her, and they will forever hold her close in their
23+ hearts; now, therefore, be it
24+ RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
25+ hereby pay tribute to the memory of Kenda Ruth King and extend
26+ heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: to her parents,
27+ Linda and Kenneth King; to her sister, Kelly King, and her husband,
28+ David Faust; to her nephews, Curtis Dean and Alex Dean and his wife,
29+ Nikki; to her great-niece, Audrey Claire; and to her other
30+ relatives and friends; and, be it further
2831 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
29- prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
30- this day, it do so in memory of Kenda King.
