 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, For 60 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Concho
 Valley has been a cornerstone for youth development in San Angelo;
 and
 WHEREAS, Founded in 1965 as the San Angelo Boys Club, the
 organization initially served boys in Tom Green County; in 1990,
 the club expanded its membership and officially changed its name to
 the Boys & Girls Club, and it later merged with the Boys & Girls Club
 of Menard; over the years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Concho
 Valley has provided thousands of children and teens with
 educational support, mentorship, leadership training, and
 character-building programs that help them build a strong
 foundation for future success; and
 WHEREAS, The organization is committed to promoting academic
 achievement, good citizenship, and healthy lifestyles,
 particularly among youth who are most in need of its resources; with
 the help of its dedicated staff and volunteers and strong community
 partnerships, it continues to expand its reach and enhance its
 services in its mission to ensure that every child has the
 opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive; and
 WHEREAS, Over the course of six decades, the Boys & Girls
 Clubs of the Concho Valley has had a transformative impact on the
 lives of countless young people and families, and it is a pleasure
 to join in celebrating the longevity of this outstanding
 organization and the many ways it has strengthened the community;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
 hereby honor the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Concho Valley on the
 occasion of its 60th anniversary and commend all those associated
 with the organization for their steadfast service to young Texans;
 and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas Senate.
