28 WHEREAS, The Lubbock Monterey Chapter of AMBUCS celebrated
39 its Visibility Month in February 2025; and
410 WHEREAS, AMBUCS is a national nonprofit organization that
511 provides free therapeutic Amtrykes to children and adults,
6- including veterans; these adaptive tricycles can be customized
7- to meet the unique needs of each individual, thereby enhancing
8- their mobility and helping them achieve a higher degree of
9- independence; and
10- WHEREAS, The Lubbock Monterey Chapter of AMBUCS was
11- created in 1960 by a group of dedicated men and women who gathered
12- at the Cactus Inn with the hopes of assisting their community
13- through acts of service; over the years, the chapter has expanded
14- to provide additional care to those in need; and

20- of those who seek to assist individuals with disabilities; in
21- 2024, the chapter donated more than 50 tricycles and raised over
22- $60,000 in scholarships; and

2329 WHEREAS, Over the past six and a half decades, Lubbock
2430 Monterey AMBUCS has made a meaningful difference in the lives of
25- numerous Texans with mobility needs, and the organization is to
26- be commended for its many achievements; now, therefore, be it
27- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
28- Legislature, hereby honor the Lubbock Monterey Chapter of AMBUCS
29- on the occasion of its Visibility Month and extend to all those
30- affiliated with the organization sincere best wishes for
31- continued success in their important work; and, be it further
31+ numerous Texans with mobility needs, and the organization is to be
32+ commended for its many achievements; now, therefore, be it
33+ RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
34+ hereby honor the Lubbock Monterey Chapter of AMBUCS on the occasion
35+ of its Visibility Month and extend to all those affiliated with the
36+ organization sincere best wishes for continued success in their
37+ important work; and, be it further

3339 prepared for Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS as an expression of high
