2	8		WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	9		recognize the New Braunfels Noon Lions Club on the occasion of
4	10		its 100th anniversary and to join the club in commemorating a
5	11		century of dedicated service to the community; and
6	12		WHEREAS, Chartered on April 10, 1925, the New Braunfels
7	13		Noon Lions Club has upheld the core mission of Lions Clubs
8	14		International by promoting humanitarian efforts, assisting those
9	15		in need, and fostering civic engagement; and
10	16		WHEREAS, Over the past century, the club has contributed
11	17		significantly to the well-being of New Braunfels through its
12	18		support of local charities, youth programs, and vision care
13	19		initiatives including eye screenings, eyeglass donations, and
14	20		aid for individuals with visual impairments; and
15	21		WHEREAS, The club has been instrumental in organizing
16	22		numerous community events and fund-raisers, such as the annual
17	23		Wurstfest parking fund-raiser, which provides financial support
18	24		for scholarships and local nonprofit organizations; and
19	25		WHEREAS, The 100th anniversary of this esteemed
20	26		organization offers a fitting opportunity to celebrate its
21	27		enduring legacy and commitment to service and to recognize the
22	28		dedicated efforts of its members, past and present, who have
23	29		contributed to its success; now, therefore, be it
24	30		RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
25	31		Legislature, hereby commend the members of the New Braunfels Noon
26	32		Lions Club on a century of outstanding service and extend to all
27	33		best wishes for the future; and, be it further
28	34		RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
29	35		honor of this special occasion.
