58 WHEREAS, Jill Diane Warrington Glover, a prominent and
69 dedicated member of the Republican Party of Texas, passed away on
710 January 14, 2024, at the age of 63; and
8- WHEREAS, The former Jill Warrington was born in Palestine
9- on October 10, 1960, to Nancy and Forrest Warrington, and she
10- grew up with the companionship of two brothers, David and Dennis;
11- during her youth, she explored a number of interests, including
12- music, ballet, and poetry, and she graduated from Palestine High
13- School, where she served as a member of the drill team; she went
14- on to attend Stephen F. Austin State University, ultimately
15- earning a master's degree in psychology, and worked as a local
16- radio personality while completing her studies; and
11+ WHEREAS, The former Jill Warrington was born in Palestine on
12+ October 10, 1960, to Nancy and Forrest Warrington, and she grew up
13+ with the companionship of two brothers, David and Dennis; during
14+ her youth, she explored a number of interests, including music,
15+ ballet, and poetry, and she graduated from Palestine High School,

1720 WHEREAS, Mrs. Glover was employed at Texas State Mental
1821 Health Services in Longview before establishing her own private
1922 practice in Dallas, where she specialized in helping women
2023 suffering from eating disorders and abuse trauma; she also served
21- as a psychology professor at Dallas County Community College and
22- as a part-time teacher at Coram Deo Academy; and
24+ as a psychology professor at Dallas County Community College and as
25+ a part-time teacher at Coram Deo Academy; and
2326 WHEREAS, A stalwart champion of conservative values,
2427 Mrs. Glover was selected to represent Senate District 12 on the
2528 State Republican Executive Committee in 2018; she also chaired the
2629 Legislative Priorities Committee, and over the course of her
2730 tenure, she provided essential support for the party's priority
2831 bills, including the Texas Heartbeat Act and the permitless carry
2932 bill from the 87th Regular Session; her determined efforts during
3033 the 88th Legislature helped 35 priority bills, in whole or in part,
3134 to become law, and she worked closely with State Senator Donna
3235 Campbell to secure the passage of Senate Bill 14, which prohibited
3336 the use of state funds for child gender modification; and
3437 WHEREAS, In addition to her frequent visits to the State
35- Capitol to discuss important issues with legislators,
36- Mrs. Glover was instrumental in organizing town halls and other
37- initiatives across Texas; she also utilized her radio skills to
38- record updates for grassroots political organizations, and she
39- published a weekly newsletter to inform the public about current
40- events; and
41- WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to her family, Mrs. Glover shared
42- a rewarding marriage with her husband, Curtis, and she took great
43- pride in her son, Nicholas; in all her endeavors, she drew
44- strength from her Christian faith; and
38+ Capitol to discuss important issues with legislators, Mrs. Glover
39+ was instrumental in organizing town halls and other initiatives
40+ across Texas; she also utilized her radio skills to record updates
41+ for grassroots political organizations, and she published a weekly
42+ newsletter to inform the public about current events; and
43+ WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to her family, Mrs. Glover shared a
44+ rewarding marriage with her husband, Curtis, and she took great
45+ pride in her son, Nicholas; in all her endeavors, she drew strength
46+ from her Christian faith; and
4547 WHEREAS, The life of Jill Glover stands as an inspiring
4648 example of civic engagement, and her work will be remembered and
4749 admired for years to come; now, therefore, be it
48- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
49- Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jill Diane
50- Warrington Glover and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of
51- her family: to her husband, Curtis Glover; to her son, Nicholas
52- Glover; to her brothers, David and Dennis Warrington; and to her
53- other relatives and friends; and, be it further
50+ RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
51+ hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jill Diane Warrington Glover and
52+ extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: to her
53+ husband, Curtis Glover; to her son, Nicholas Glover; to her
54+ brothers, David and Dennis Warrington; and to her other relatives
55+ and friends; and, be it further
5456 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
55- prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
56- this day, it do so in memory of Jill Glover.
