|---|
| 7 | 13 | | highlights the rich cultural heritage of Brenham and Washington |

|---|
| 9 | 15 | | WHEREAS, This much-awaited event includes an array of |

| 10 | 16 | | festivities and features the coronation of the city's junior and |
|---|
| 11 | 17 | | senior kings and queens; this year's Maifest royal court includes |
|---|
| 12 | 18 | | Junior Royalty Queen Elizabeth Grace Alfred, reigning over the |
|---|
| 13 | 19 | | Junior Court of "The Wonderful Things We Imagine"; and |
|---|
| 14 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The outstanding young Texans who take part in the |
|---|
| 15 | 21 | | Brenham Maifest are part of an enduring Washington County |
|---|
| 16 | 22 | | tradition that provides hours of enjoyment and entertainment for |
|---|
| 17 | 23 | | residents and visitors alike; the members of the royal court and |
|---|
| 18 | 24 | | all those associated with the planning and preparation of the |
|---|
| 19 | 25 | | event can indeed take pride in their contributions to the |
|---|
| 20 | 26 | | community; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th |
|---|
| 22 | 28 | | Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the 135th Brenham Maifest and |
|---|
| 23 | 29 | | honor the members of the 2025 junior and senior royal court; and, |
|---|
| 24 | 30 | | be it further |

| 25 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as a |

| 26 | 32 | | memento of this special celebration. |
