 SENATE RESOLUTION
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is honored to pay
 tribute to Abigail Elizabeth Paxton Amedia, a distinguished
 leader and dedicated public servant, on the occasion of her 30th
 birthday on March 31, 2025, and in recognition of her esteemed
 relationship as mother of Aurora Joy Rose Amedia, wife of United
 States Air Force Major Samuel Amedia, and oldest daughter of
 Senator Angela Paxton and Attorney General Ken Paxton; and
 WHEREAS, An alumna of Baylor University, where she earned
 her Bachelors of Science in Nursing, later earning a Masters of
 Science in Nursing from Texas A & M University and a Masters of
 Security Studies in Intelligence and Analysis from San Angelo
 State University; Abigail Elizabeth Paxton Amedia served as a
 patriotic and accomplished Intelligence Officer in the United
 States Air Force Special Warfare and Air Force Nurse whose date
 of rank was July 4, 2017 and who was honorably discharged as a
 Captain in the United States Air Force on June 15, 2023; she is
 well known for her work ethic and for her achievements in health
 care, family support, and pro-life charitable nursing at
 numerous pregnancy resource centers in Texas and other states;
 and
 WHEREAS, Throughout her 30 impressive years, Abigail
 Elizabeth Paxton Amedia has remained deeply devoted to her
 family, and she has cherished the love and support of her
 husband, Samuel Amedia, along with her precious enthusiastic
 daughter, Aurora Joy Rose Amedia, and especially her favorite
 mother, Senator Angela Paxton; and
 WHEREAS, Abigail Elizabeth Paxton Amedia is a highly
 regarded woman and leader who gives generously of her time and
 energy to community and country and consistently exhibits a deep
 love of Texas including a prominently displayed tattoo of her
 beloved state on the back of her left shoulder; her wealth of
 nursing knowledge has been an invaluable asset to her family who
 highly value her generous, expert and free medical advice at
 frequent and often inconvenient times for her; and
 WHEREAS, The successful career of Abigail Elizabeth Paxton
 Amedia is marked by her exemplary decision-making and
 statesmanship; her support of causes for the betterment of her
 beloved mother and our state and her work as an Intelligence
 Officer in the United States Air Force Special Warfare and Air
 Force Nurse including two selfless deployments to Afghanistan
 are testaments to her high standards, strong leadership, and
 commitment to public service, and her loyalty to her country has
 earned her the highest regard of those she loves and serves; and
 WHEREAS, Senator Angela Paxton, an esteemed member of the
 Texas Senate, is proud to honor her daughter, Abigail Elizabeth
 Paxton Amedia, for her outstanding contributions to the citizens
 of Texas and the United States of America on this special day and
 to pay tribute to Abigail Elizabeth Paxton Amedia for her many
 accomplishments and for her dedication to family, state and
 country; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
 Legislature, hereby commend Abigail Elizabeth Paxton Amedia, for
 her exceptional achievements and extend to her sincere
 appreciation and best wishes for a most enjoyable 30th birthday
 celebration; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 Abigail Elizabeth Paxton Amedia as an expression of the
 admiration and esteem of the Texas Senate.
