2	7		WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is honored to pay
3	8		tribute to Abigail Elizabeth Paxton Amedia, a distinguished
4	9		leader and dedicated public servant, on the occasion of her 30th
5	10		birthday on March 31, 2025, and in recognition of her esteemed
6	11		relationship as mother of Aurora Joy Rose Amedia, wife of United
7	12		States Air Force Major Samuel Amedia, and oldest daughter of
8	13		Senator Angela Paxton and Attorney General Ken Paxton; and
9	14		WHEREAS, An alumna of Baylor University, where she earned
10	15		her Bachelors of Science in Nursing, later earning a Masters of
11	16		Science in Nursing from Texas A & M University and a Masters of
12		-	Security Studies in Intelligence and Analysis from San Angelo State
13		-	University; Abigail Elizabeth Paxton Amedia served as a patriotic
14		-	and accomplished Intelligence Officer in the United States Air
15		-	Force Special Warfare and Air Force Nurse whose date of rank was
16		-	July 4, 2017 and who was honorably discharged as a Captain in the
17		-	United States Air Force on June 15, 2023; she is well known for her
18		-	work ethic and for her achievements in health care, family support,
19		-	and pro-life charitable nursing at numerous pregnancy resource
20		-	centers in Texas and other states; and

21	27		WHEREAS, Throughout her 30 impressive years, Abigail
22	28		Elizabeth Paxton Amedia has remained deeply devoted to her
23	29		family, and she has cherished the love and support of her
24	30		husband, Samuel Amedia, along with her precious enthusiastic
25	31		daughter, Aurora Joy Rose Amedia, and especially her favorite
26	32		mother, Senator Angela Paxton; and
27	33		WHEREAS, Abigail Elizabeth Paxton Amedia is a highly
28	34		regarded woman and leader who gives generously of her time and
29	35		energy to community and country and consistently exhibits a deep
30	36		love of Texas including a prominently displayed tattoo of her
31	37		beloved state on the back of her left shoulder; her wealth of
32	38		nursing knowledge has been an invaluable asset to her family who
33	39		highly value her generous, expert and free medical advice at
34	40		frequent and often inconvenient times for her; and
35	41		WHEREAS, The successful career of Abigail Elizabeth Paxton
36	42		Amedia is marked by her exemplary decision-making and
37	43		statesmanship; her support of causes for the betterment of her
38	44		beloved mother and our state and her work as an Intelligence
39	45		Officer in the United States Air Force Special Warfare and Air
40	46		Force Nurse including two selfless deployments to Afghanistan
41	47		are testaments to her high standards, strong leadership, and
42	48		commitment to public service, and her loyalty to her country has
43	49		earned her the highest regard of those she loves and serves; and
44	50		WHEREAS, Senator Angela Paxton, an esteemed member of the
45	51		Texas Senate, is proud to honor her daughter, Abigail Elizabeth
46	52		Paxton Amedia, for her outstanding contributions to the citizens
47	53		of Texas and the United States of America on this special day and
48	54		to pay tribute to Abigail Elizabeth Paxton Amedia for her many
49	55		accomplishments and for her dedication to family, state and
50	56		country; now, therefore, be it
51	57		RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
52	58		Legislature, hereby commend Abigail Elizabeth Paxton Amedia, for
53	59		her exceptional achievements and extend to her sincere
54	60		appreciation and best wishes for a most enjoyable 30th birthday
55	61		celebration; and, be it further
56	62		RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
57	63		Abigail Elizabeth Paxton Amedia as an expression of the
58	64		admiration and esteem of the Texas Senate.
