3- celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, and this occasion

8+ WHEREAS, Cernosek Wrecker Service in Pasadena is celebrating
9+ its 50th anniversary in 2025, and this occasion provides a welcome
10+ opportunity to recognize the business and its founder and owner,
11+ Larry Cernosek; and
612 WHEREAS, First establishing Cernosek Wrecker in Houston in
713 1975, Mr. Cernosek moved the business to Deer Park in 1981 and
814 expanded the enterprise to include an automotive shop, Deer Park
915 Paint & Body; the company has since relocated to nearby Pasadena;
10- over the years, Mr. Cernosek has been very active in his
11- industry, serving several terms as chair of the Texas Towing and
12- Storage Association and holding membership in the Texas Motor
13- Transportation Association, which he previously led as
14- president; in 2000, he was inducted into the International Towing
15- and Recovery Hall of Fame; and
16- WHEREAS, Engaged in the wider community as well,
17- Mr. Cernosek has been involved with both the Deer Park and
18- Pasadena Chambers of Commerce; he has also served on the business
19- development board at Sterling Bank and as treasurer of The Rose,
20- a nonprofit organization that offers breast cancer screening and
21- diagnostic services; in addition, he has held the office of
22- treasurer for North Pasadena Community Outreach, which provides
23- educational, health, and after-school programs; among his many
24- honors, he has received the Outstanding Citizen of the Year award
25- from the Deer Park Chamber and the Community Builder Award from
26- the Deer Park Masonic Lodge; and
16+ over the years, Mr. Cernosek has been very active in his industry,
17+ serving several terms as chair of the Texas Towing and Storage
18+ Association and holding membership in the Texas Motor

31- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
32- Legislature, hereby commemorate the 50th anniversary of Cernosek
33- Wrecker Service and extend to Larry Cernosek and his staff
34- sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
37+ RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
38+ hereby commemorate the 50th anniversary of Cernosek Wrecker Service
39+ and extend to Larry Cernosek and his staff sincere best wishes for
