2	8		WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	9		recognize the Texas Association of Museums in honor of its 50th
4	10		anniversary; and
5	11		WHEREAS, Since its founding, the Texas Association of
6	12		Museums has strengthened the Texas museum community through
7	13		collaboration, professional development, and advocacy; and
8	14		WHEREAS, In celebration of this milestone, the association
9	15		is hosting its 50th annual meeting under the theme "Bridging the
10		-	Past and Future"; the gathering is curated to foster collaboration,
11		-	build partnerships, and explore visionary approaches to preserving
12		-	and interpreting Texas' rich heritage; and

13	20		WHEREAS, The association's annual meeting draws hundreds

16	23		best practices, emerging trends, and innovative strategies in
17	24		the field of museology; and
18	25		WHEREAS, Museums, gardens, zoos, and archives throughout
19	26		Texas play a vital role in preserving our shared history,
20	27		celebrating cultural diversity, and inspiring curiosity,
21	28		creativity, and lifelong learning for Texans of all ages and
22	29		backgrounds; now, therefore, be it
23	30		RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
24	31		Legislature, hereby commemorate the 50th anniversary of the
25	32		Texas Association of Museums and extend to its members and all in
26	33		attendance best wishes for a memorable gathering and for
27	34		continued success in their endeavors; and, be it further
28	35		RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
29	36		the Texas Association of Museums as an expression of esteem from
30	37		the Texas Senate.
