2	8		WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	9		welcome employees, advocates, and allies of the nuclear energy
4	10		industry as they gather in Austin to celebrate Texas Nuclear
5	11		Legislative Day at the State Capitol on April 10, 2025; and
6	12		WHEREAS, Texas is poised to embrace a nuclear energy
7	13		strategy rooted in reliability, economic growth, and national
8	14		security that will help to create jobs, attract investment, and
9	15		secure our state's position as the energy capital of the world
10	16		and as leaders of the nuclear power renaissance in the United
11	17		States; and
12	18		WHEREAS, Nuclear energy is the most reliable and
13	19		energy-dense power source available, and a strong investment
14	20		will ensure Texas leads the transition to cleaner energy, the
15	21		deployment of nuclear power, and global exports of nuclear
16	22		technology; Texas' low-tax environment, efficient regulatory
17	23		structure, and history of energy leadership give our state a
18	24		unique opportunity to position itself as the epicenter of nuclear
19	25		innovation and deployment, and by advancing nuclear energy,
20	26		Texas will lead the way in bringing much-needed pragmatism to our
21	27		energy future; now, therefore, be it
22	28		RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
23	29		Legislature, hereby recognize April 10, 2025, as Texas Nuclear
24	30		Legislative Day at the State Capitol and extend to all associated
25	31		with the nuclear energy industry best wishes for championing this
26	32		important cause; and, be it further
27	33		RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
28	34		the visiting delegation in honor of this occasion.
