7+ SENATE RESOLUTION
28 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
39 welcome employees, advocates, and allies of the nuclear energy
410 industry as they gather in Austin to celebrate Texas Nuclear
511 Legislative Day at the State Capitol on April 10, 2025; and
612 WHEREAS, Texas is poised to embrace a nuclear energy
713 strategy rooted in reliability, economic growth, and national
814 security that will help to create jobs, attract investment, and
915 secure our state's position as the energy capital of the world
1016 and as leaders of the nuclear power renaissance in the United
1117 States; and
1218 WHEREAS, Nuclear energy is the most reliable and
1319 energy-dense power source available, and a strong investment
1420 will ensure Texas leads the transition to cleaner energy, the
1521 deployment of nuclear power, and global exports of nuclear
1622 technology; Texas' low-tax environment, efficient regulatory
1723 structure, and history of energy leadership give our state a
1824 unique opportunity to position itself as the epicenter of nuclear
1925 innovation and deployment, and by advancing nuclear energy,
2026 Texas will lead the way in bringing much-needed pragmatism to our
2127 energy future; now, therefore, be it
2228 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
2329 Legislature, hereby recognize April 10, 2025, as Texas Nuclear
2430 Legislative Day at the State Capitol and extend to all associated
2531 with the nuclear energy industry best wishes for championing this
2632 important cause; and, be it further
2733 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2834 the visiting delegation in honor of this occasion.
