28 WHEREAS, J. Scott Moore is retiring from
39 PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on June 30, 2025, drawing to a close
4- an exemplary career in public accounting that has spanned more
5- than three and a half decades; and
10+ an exemplary career in public accounting that has spanned more than
11+ three and a half decades; and
612 WHEREAS, A member of the PwC board, Mr. Moore is also the
7- managing partner of the firm's Dallas office; in addition, he is
8- a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
9- Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public
10- Accountants; and
13+ managing partner of the firm's Dallas office; in addition, he is a
14+ member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
15+ and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants; and
1116 WHEREAS, Mr. Moore's previous experience includes his work
12- in the mergers and acquisitions practice at PwC's Boston office
13- for two years, and in 2007, he took on the role of retail and
14- consumer tax sector leader for the firm's U.S. operations; in
15- 2009, he became the North Texas tax market leader, and he held
16- that position for six years before being named the North Texas
17- managing partner; he went on to serve as the managing partner for
18- the Greater Texas market, which includes offices in Texas,
19- Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, and he ably led a practice of
20- over 4,000 public accounting professionals before assuming his
21- current position; he holds bachelor's and master's degrees in
22- accounting from Texas Tech University; and
23- WHEREAS, Active in his community, Mr. Moore is a former
24- board chair for the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas and the Dallas
25- Children's Advocacy Center, and he has served on the boards of the
26- PwC SMU Athletic Forum, The Catholic Foundation, and the Dallas
27- Theater Center; he is also a past president of the St. Thomas
28- Aquinas School Advisory Council, and he has been involved in the
29- Dallas Regional Chamber and Leadership Dallas; and

35- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
36- Legislature, hereby congratulate J. Scott Moore on his
