5	5	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
6	6	commemorates the life of Guadalupe Arismendez Jr., who died March
7	7	13, 2025, at the age of 50; and
8	8	WHEREAS, A native of Corpus Christi, Lupe Arismendez Jr.
9	9	was born to Amelia Arismendez and the late Guadalupe Arismendez
10	10	Sr. on May 7, 1974; he was a loving sibling to his brothers and
11	11	sisters, with whom he shared many happy memories, and he
12	12	graduated from Sterling High School in 1994; and
13	13	WHEREAS, Lupe shared 24 rewarding years of marriage with
14	14	his best friend and cherished wife, Monica Arismendez, and their
15	15	union was blessed with a son, Matthew; they were again blessed in
16	16	2023, when their family grew with the adoption of their two
17	17	youngest sons, Jonah and Frank; and
18	18	WHEREAS, Lupe most recently worked providing security as a
19	19	member of the staff of Sec-Ops, Incorporated; he found much
20	20	enjoyment in listening to music, playing his guitar, and
21	21	storytelling, and he was noted among friends for his great
22	22	appreciation of Mexican food; above all, he valued being with
23	23	family and cherished their time spent together; and
24	24	WHEREAS, A man of compassion, strength, and unwavering
25	25	devotion to family, Lupe Arismendez Jr. was beloved by many, and
26	26	he leaves behind memories that will be forever treasured by his
27	27	loved ones and by all who were privileged to share in his life;
28	28	now, therefore, be it
29	29	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
30	30	Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
31	31	family of Guadalupe Arismendez Jr.; and, be it further
32	32	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
33	33	his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
34	34	Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
35	35	memory of Lupe Arismendez.
