2	8		WHEREAS, The Texas Authors Museum & Institute of History is
3	9		celebrating its 10th anniversary in April 2025; and
4	10		WHEREAS, This outstanding organization traces its roots to
5		-	2014, when B. Alan Bourgeois established the first museum
6		-	~~dedicated~~ to preserving the legacy of Texas authors; since its
7		-	~~inception, the~~ nonprofit has curated a comprehensive collection
8		-	~~of rare~~ manuscripts, first editions, personal papers, and other
9		-	~~literary~~ artifacts, helping to ensure that the state's rich
10		-	~~literary history~~ is accessible to researchers, historians,
11		-	~~educators, and the~~ general public; in addition, the organization
12		-	~~has demonstrated a~~ steadfast commitment to supporting the
13		-	~~publishing industry in~~ Texas, which annually generates more than
14		-	~~$500 million in tax~~ revenue; and

20		-	appreciation for literature and to help to develop future

32	37		special milestone in its history; now, therefore, be it
33		-	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
34		-	Legislature, hereby commemorate the 10th anniversary of the
35		-	Texas Authors Museum & Institute of History and extend to all
36		-	those affiliated with the organization sincere best wishes for
37		-	the future; and, be it further
