11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 432
22 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
33 recognize Rob Kepple for his outstanding career with the Texas
44 District and County Attorneys Association and for his 22 years of
55 leadership as the organization's executive director; and
66 WHEREAS, A graduate of George Washington University Law
77 School, Rob Kepple began his career by serving as an associate at
88 the Fulbright and Jaworski law firm in Houston; he went on to
99 distinguish himself as a prosecutor in Harris County, working
1010 under the legendary district attorney Johnny Holmes, and he rose
1111 to become a chief felony prosecutor; and
1212 WHEREAS, Rob joined the Texas District and County
1313 Attorneys Association in 1990 to oversee legal training of
1414 prosecutors throughout the state and to represent prosecutors at
1515 the State Capitol; he assisted in drafting and implementing the
1616 1993 Texas Penal Code, and in 2002, he accepted the role as
1717 executive director of the association; and
1818 WHEREAS, Under Rob's skilled leadership, the Texas
1919 District and County Attorneys Association has grown to become the
2020 largest statewide association of prosecutors in the nation; his
2121 impressive tenure is marked by such notable accomplishments as
2222 the formation of the Texas District and County Attorneys
2323 Foundation and the Prosecutor Management Institute, and he has
2424 been an indispensable asset to numerous legislators and aspiring
2525 prosecutors at The University of Texas School of Law; and
2626 WHEREAS, Rob Kepple is an esteemed legal expert who has
2727 left an indelible mark on the practice and application of law in
2828 Texas, and his leadership as executive director of the
2929 association will be greatly missed by all; now, therefore, be it
3030 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
3131 Legislature, hereby commend Rob Kepple on his exemplary career
3232 and his many contributions to the Lone Star State and extend to
3333 him best wishes in all his future endeavors; and, be it further
3434 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
3535 him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
