2	8		WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	9		join Texans across the state in recognizing May 9, 2025, as
4	10		Provider Appreciation Day; and
5	11		WHEREAS, Provider Appreciation Day is a nationally
6	12		celebrated annual event to advocate family child care as a
7	13		valuable investment in our children's future and as an
8	14		opportunity for quality early childhood education; and
9	15		WHEREAS, Professionals who provide family child care play
10	16		an important role in cultivating, supporting, and educating
11	17		young children in a warm, loving, and culturally competent
12	18		environment; and
13	19		WHEREAS, These dedicated providers fulfill a vital role by
14	20		ensuring the safety and well-being of children in various
15	21		settings including day-care facilities, schools, and homes to
16	22		allow working parents and families access to the level of care
17	23		needed to prepare their children for future success; and
18	24		WHEREAS, Texas child-care providers are working with the
19	25		National Association for Family Child Care and other
20	26		organizations statewide to enhance the quality and availability
21	27		of such services; and
22	28		WHEREAS, Provider Appreciation Day is truly a fitting
23	29		occasion to call attention to the importance of quality
24	30		child-care services for all children and families in our
25	31		communities and to recognize family child care providers,
26	32		teachers, and educators for their efforts in caring for the
27	33		children of working parents and providing them with quality early
28	34		childhood experiences; now, therefore, be it
29	35		RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
30	36		Legislature, hereby commend the state's family child care
31	37		providers on their exemplary contributions to their communities
32	38		and extend to all best wishes for a rewarding and memorable
33	39		Provider Appreciation Day celebration; and, be it further
34	40		RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
35	41		honor of this special occasion.
