7+ R E S O L U T I O N
58 WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
6- memories of Frank Aulston Kelso and Alice Sue Boyle Kelso of
7- Corpus Christi, who shared nearly seven decades of marriage; and
8- WHEREAS, Frank Kelso was born in Bellville on
9- September 20, 1936, and the former Alice Boyle was born the
10- following year in Dumas on November 23; they met at church and
11- married when he was 17 and she 16; and
9+ memories of Frank Aulston Kelso and Alice Sue Boyle Kelso of Corpus
10+ Christi, who shared nearly seven decades of marriage; and
11+ WHEREAS, Frank Kelso was born in Bellville on September 20,
12+ 1936, and the former Alice Boyle was born the following year in
13+ Dumas on November 23; they met at church and married when he was 17
14+ and she 16; and
1215 WHEREAS, The Kelsos were blessed with 4 children, Sheri,
1316 Frank, Keith, and Jo, and through the years, their treasured family
1417 grew to include 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and
15- WHEREAS, Employed for 26 years as a game warden for the
16- State of Texas, Mr. Kelso rose to become a district supervisor,
17- and his career highlights included the capture and release of
18- Bubba, the javelina; following his retirement in 1993, he enjoyed
19- spending time out in his shop, teaching his grandchildren to hunt
20- and fish, and regaling them with tales of his game warden
21- adventures; he had a gift for teaching, and he was always ready to
22- lend a helping hand to family and friends; Mrs. Kelso took great
23- pleasure in caring for her home and family; a wonderful cook, she
24- always made sure no one left their home hungry; and
18+ WHEREAS, Employed for 26 years as a game warden for the State
19+ of Texas, Mr. Kelso rose to become a district supervisor, and his
20+ career highlights included the capture and release of Bubba, the
21+ javelina; following his retirement in 1993, he enjoyed spending
22+ time out in his shop, teaching his grandchildren to hunt and fish,
23+ and regaling them with tales of his game warden adventures; he had a
24+ gift for teaching, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to
25+ family and friends; Mrs. Kelso took great pleasure in caring for
26+ her home and family; a wonderful cook, she always made sure no one
27+ left their home hungry; and
2528 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Kelso were inseparable in life, and
26- they died but a few days apart; Mr. Kelso passed away on
27- January 9, 2023, at the age of 86, and Mrs. Kelso followed on
28- January 13, 2023, at the age of 85; and
29+ they died but a few days apart; Mr. Kelso passed away on January 9,
30+ 2023, at the age of 86, and Mrs. Kelso followed on January 13, 2023,
31+ at the age of 85; and
2932 WHEREAS, Although Frank and Alice Kelso are deeply missed,
3033 their tremendous devotion to each other will forever remain a
31- source of inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know
32- them; now, therefore, be it
33- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
34- Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the lives of Frank Aulston
35- Kelso and Alice Sue Boyle Kelso and extend sincere condolences to
36- the members of their family, to their friends, and to all who
37- mourn their passing; and, be it further

36+ RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
37+ hereby pay tribute to the lives of Frank Aulston Kelso and Alice Sue

40+ be it further
3841 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3942 prepared for their family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
4043 this day, it do so in memory of Frank and Alice Kelso.
