2	8		WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	9		recognize Dr. Yu-Mei Liu, who is serving as Physician of the Day
4	10		at the State Capitol on January 15, 2025; and
5	11		WHEREAS, Each day of the legislative session, a member of
6	12		the Texas Academy of Family Physicians volunteers valuable time
7	13		away from their practice to assist legislators and support staff
8	14		at the Capitol health clinic; and
9	15		WHEREAS, Dr. Liu earned a doctor of medicine degree from
10	16		The University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed
11	17		the Memorial Family Medicine residency program, and she has
12	18		served as a board-certified family practice doctor for three
13	19		decades; and
14	20		WHEREAS, She currently specializes in family medicine at
15	21		Ascension Seton Primary Care McCarthy in Austin, and her
16	22		commitment to excellence is evidenced by her involvement with the
17	23		Texas Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of
18	24		Family Medicine; and
19	25		WHEREAS, An esteemed medical practitioner, Dr. Liu
20	26		provides compassionate care for patients who place their trust in
21	27		her for preventive wellness, routine care, and managing chronic
22	28		conditions; she exemplifies the highest ideals of the medical
23	29		profession, and it is indeed a pleasure to welcome her to the
24	30		State Capitol; now, therefore, be it
25	31		RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
26	32		Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Yu-Mei Liu for her participation
27	33		in the Physician of the Day program and extend to her sincere best
28	34		wishes for the future; and, be it further
29	35		RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
30	36		her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
