| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The members of the 13th class of the Senator Gregory |

| 9 | 9 | | Luna Legislative Scholars and Fellows Program have ably served |

| 10 | 10 | | their fellow Texans during the 89th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, This exemplary program is administered by the Senate |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Hispanic Research Council and is named in honor of the late Senator |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Gregory Luna, who devoted his life to public service and to fighting |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | for educational equity; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Serving as a tribute to Senator Luna's legacy and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | his admirable work in the Texas Legislature, the program was |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | created to provide undergraduate and graduate students from across |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | the state with opportunities to gain professional experience in the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Texas Senate and to acquire the skills necessary to become |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | successful leaders in our great state; and |

| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, The members of the 13th class of the Senator Gregory |

| 22 | 22 | | Luna Legislative Scholars and Fellows Program have demonstrated |

| 23 | 23 | | outstanding dedication and hard work in their assigned Senate |

| 24 | 24 | | offices throughout the session; the students of the 13th class are |

| 25 | 25 | | Ben Aguillon of San Antonio, serving in the office of Senator Roland |

| 26 | 26 | | Gutierrez; Rachel Sepulveda of Houston, serving in the office of |

| 27 | 27 | | Senator Adam Hinojosa; Leticia Sofia Torres of San Antonio, serving |

| 32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, These noteworthy Texans have performed their duties |
