28 WHEREAS, Members of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce are
39 gathering at the State Capitol for the organization's Austin
410 Legislative Fly-In on February 18 and 19, 2025; and
511 WHEREAS, The two-day event provides an opportunity for
612 chamber members to directly engage with the legislative process;
713 working in behalf of their community, delegates will meet with
8- state lawmakers to advocate for the chamber's priorities,
9- including health care initiatives for underinsured and uninsured
10- residents, support for sustainable infrastructure development
11- and the Dallas Area Rapid Transit multimodal system, funding for
12- public safety entities, and public education incentives to
13- recruit and retain teachers and for career and technology
14- education and workforce readiness programs; and
14+ state lawmakers to advocate for the chamber's priorities, including
15+ health care initiatives for underinsured and uninsured residents,
16+ support for sustainable infrastructure development and the Dallas
17+ Area Rapid Transit multimodal system, funding for public safety
18+ entities, and public education incentives to recruit and retain

1521 WHEREAS, For more than 75 years, the Richardson Chamber of
1622 Commerce has played a vital role in strengthening the area's
1723 economy through business development; the organization holds a
1824 five-star accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and
1925 under the exemplary leadership of president and chief executive
2026 officer Julie Snyder and the executive committee and board of
2127 directors, it creates outreach opportunities for entrepreneurs
2228 while helping to ensure that employers have access to a qualified
2329 workforce by establishing collaborations between educational
2430 institutions and businesses; and
25- WHEREAS, The Richardson Chamber of Commerce is a strong
26- agent promoting economic vitality and prosperity, and all those

2733 associated with the organization may indeed take great pride in
2834 their contributions to the quality of life of the community at

30- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
31- Legislature, hereby recognize the Richardson Chamber of Commerce
