8+ WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Chapter of the American College
9+ of Physicians are gathering in Austin on February 19, 2025, for the
10+ organization's Advocacy Leadership Day at the State Capitol; and
11+ WHEREAS, Dedicated to promoting quality health care for all
12+ Texans, TXACP works to advance the field of internal medicine
813 through advocacy, education, and initiatives aimed at enhancing
914 patient care and medical standards in Texas; the organization
1015 represents more than 8,000 physicians, residents, medical
1116 students, and affiliate members and comprises two regions with
1217 representative leadership throughout the state; and
13- WHEREAS, TXACP Services supports and improves the practice
14- of internal medicine by addressing the scientific, economic,
15- social, and political aspects of medicine to maintain the highest
16- standards of patient care; and
18+ WHEREAS, TXACP Services supports and improves the practice of
19+ internal medicine by addressing the scientific, economic, social,
20+ and political aspects of medicine to maintain the highest standards
21+ of patient care; and
1722 WHEREAS, The TXACP Foundation fosters knowledge and
1823 philanthropy that enhances health care in Texas by promoting
1924 initiatives such as the General Internal Medicine Statewide
20- Preceptorship Program, which encourages students to enter the
21- field of internal medicine and supports residents in educational
22- and scientific endeavors; and

2328 WHEREAS, The Texas Chapter of the American College of
2429 Physicians has rendered exceptional service to internal medicine

2732 fellow medical professionals, to learn about current legislative
28- issues impacting the field, and to engage with lawmakers about
29- key health care policies; now, therefore, be it
30- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
31- Legislature, hereby recognize February 19, 2025, as the Texas
32- Chapter of the American College of Physicians Advocacy
33- Leadership Day at the State Capitol and extend a warm welcome to
34- the visiting delegation; and, be it further
33+ issues impacting the field, and to engage with lawmakers about key
34+ health care policies; now, therefore, be it
35+ RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
36+ hereby recognize February 19, 2025, as the Texas Chapter of the
37+ American College of Physicians Advocacy Leadership Day at the State
38+ Capitol and extend a warm welcome to the visiting delegation; and,
39+ be it further
