| 39 | 39 | | likely to gain access to the firearm 10 |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | without the permission of the parent 11 |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | or guardian of the minor; and 12 |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | ‘‘(II) a minor obtains the firearm 13 |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | and uses the firearm in the commis-14 |
|---|
| 44 | 44 | | sion of a crime or causes injury or 15 |
|---|
| 45 | 45 | | death to such minor, or any other in-16 |
|---|
| 46 | 46 | | dividual. 17 |

| 48 | 48 | | XCEPTION.—Clause (i) shall 18 |
