SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Protecting American 4
Energy Production Act’’. 5
SEC. 2. PROTECTING AMERICAN ENERGY PRODUCTION. 6

ROHIBITION ONDECLARATION OF A MORATO-3
RIUM ON HYDRAULICFRACTURING.—Notwithstanding 4
any other provision of law, the President may not declare 5
a moratorium on the use of hydraulic fracturing unless 6
such moratorium is authorized by an Act of Congress. 7
