A BILL
To amend title XI of the Social Security Act to ensure
nursing facilities report information on medical directors
of such facilities.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. ENSURING NURSING FACILITIES REPORT IN-3
FORMATION ON MEDICAL DIRECTORS OF 4
SUCH FACILITIES. 5
Section 1124(c) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 6
1320a–3(c)) is amended— 7

(1) in paragraph (3), by adding at the end the 1
following new subparagraph: 2
‘‘(C) U
PDATED REGULATIONS .—Not later 3
than 2 years after the date of the enactment of 4
this subparagraph, the Secretary shall revise 5
the regulations promulgated pursuant to sub-6
paragraph (A) to require, effective on the date 7
that is 90 days after the date on which such re-8
vised regulations are published in the Federal 9
Register, a facility to include in reports re-10
quired under this section the information de-11
scribed in paragraph (2)(A)(ii)(II) with respect 12
to managing employees who are medical direc-13
tors of such facility. Beginning 6 months after 14
such revised regulations are so published, the 15
Secretary shall make such information so re-16
ported with respect to medical directors of a fa-17
cility publicly available on the Nursing Home 18
Compare website under section 1819(i) (or a 19
successor website).’’; and 20
(2) in paragraph (5)(C), by inserting ‘‘and shall 21
include a medical director of such facility’’ before 22
the period at the end. 23
