| 35 | 35 | | tems of the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide for 7 |

| 36 | 36 | | the automatic processing of claims for temporary disability 8 |

| 37 | 37 | | ratings for veterans described in section 1156(a)(1)(C) of 9 |

| 40 | 40 | | DDITIONALREQUIREMENTS.—In providing for 11 |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | the automatic processing of claims as required under sub-12 |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | section (a), the Secretary shall ensure that— 13 |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | (1) medical evidence is obtained from the cor-14 |
|---|
| 44 | 44 | | porate data warehouse of the Department; 15 |
|---|
| 45 | 45 | | (2) employees of the Department continue to 16 |
|---|
| 46 | 46 | | determine whether a veteran is eligible for a tem-17 |
|---|
| 47 | 47 | | porary disability rating under section 1156(a)(1)(C) 18 |
|---|
| 48 | 48 | | of title 38, United States Code; and 19 |
|---|
| 49 | 49 | | (3) claims may be processed manually if the 20 |
|---|
| 50 | 50 | | evidence of record is not sufficient to decide the 21 |
|---|
| 51 | 51 | | claim or if the medical evidence is provided in a for-22 |
|---|
| 52 | 52 | | mat that is not compatible with the system devel-23 |
|---|
